What Will You Learn as an Engineering Management Student?

  • Apply core science, mathematics, engineering and management principles to solve engineering-based management problems.
  • Work individually and in teams to identify and solve complex engineering problems that transcend disciplinary boundaries.

  • Apply analytical skills and creativity to investigate the adequacy of an engineering project plan and manage improvements consistent with socioeconomic, environmental, safety and other contemporary engineering and management practices.

Hands-On Experiences

Learn by doing. Laboratory courses start the first year. Senior capstone projects bring student teams together to build a prototype of their own design under the guidance of a faculty member. Engineering management majors often take on the role of project manager.

Explore opportunities to participate in research and projects with faculty. Wilkes faculty care about their students and have an open door policy. Advising is a priority.

Industry Connections

Take advantage of cooperative education and internships while staying on track to graduate in four years. Faculty and students often work with industry partners on projects and independent study courses.
